As part of the great summer of the rabbit, I have been re-reading Lewis Hyde's wonderful book,
Trickster Makes This World: Mischief, Myth, and Art. I had read the book years ago, but I am appreciating it so much more now that I have been immersing myself in trickster stories. I am thinking it would be really fun as a project to create a reader with stories mentioned by Hyde, along with other stories that resonate with his themes.
I've got the old 1998 edition, and I see the new edition has a forward by Michael Chabon. I think that is the excuse I need to buy myself a Kindle of the new edition. I always feel a little dopey having both a print book and a Kindle book, but both formats have their own pleasures, and this book deserves to be enjoyed in every possible way.
Here are some links and resources that I can share; perhaps you will be tempted to read the book too!
