Day 80: Christensen... and context

I finished doing the summaries for all 18 stories in Christensen; such a fantastic source! I especially loved the last one about the whale's eggs.

And as I keep thinking about the first book project here, my current idea is putting the Harris stories in context: at least one more African American story (or maybe Native American!), plus at least one Caribbean analogue, and then an African analogue. I'm not sure just which stories I will be able to include that way, but that is my goal, at least for now. The analogue would not have to be complete; just a motif would be good enough.

So the whale's egg story would work for Harris's story of snake's house!
