Day 75: Harris stories done (first go-round)

It seems appropriate that on Day 75 of this project is the day on which I finished the first round of editing all 183 of the Harris stories. I did quite a few stories today because I was so excited about finishing up; I hadn't thought I would get through the last stories until this weekend.

Of course there will be lots more editing to come, and I'm not even sure just which stories I will be working with in the future, but it is really nice to have edited versions of all the stories, and I'll be able to redo some of the site indexes now that I have a page for every story.

Also, thanks to working with Chase's book today on the Aunt Nancy story, I learned the identity of the previously unknown (to me) artist who did illustrations with Church for Nights with Uncle Remus: it's William Holbrook Beard! So, for example, he did this lovely illustration for Mr. Fox and Miss Goose: I wish Beard had done more illustrations for the Brer Rabbit stories.
